Hello, My name is Sarah Schumacher and I am an educator with a Bachelors degree in Fine Arts in Art Education focusing on Graphic Arts and Specializing in Advertising Design from Michigan State University. I am interested in education systems around the world and how art, technology, and interdisciplinary learning are implemented.
My time at MSU has helped me to explore many facets of the fine art world: graphic arts, drawing, collage and mixed media, painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography, electronic art, ceramics, and art history. Paired with my teaching experiences, I have learned how art enhances, bridges, and deepens all areas of study. The incorporation of art in the classroom, in a business setting, and in everyday life only enriches experiences. I love to travel, to create, and to be part of a team. My ideal occupation would be to work with others of different backgrounds to build something innovative, whether that be an idea, a product, or an image. I enjoy working with children because they are the newest minds with the newest thoughts, they are the next voice of our society, and they are least constrained by social and cultural norms. My goal is to continuously learn from others, from my surrounding, and especially from kids. |
Here I am helping a student with her 'Very Unbirthday Cake' while working with Saturday Morning Art (SMArt).
